About PathNous

A stage-by-stage guide to the Norfolk and Suffolk coast paths, for people walking one stretch today.

What we do

We split the Norfolk Coast Path and the Suffolk coast path into day-sized stretches. For each one we say what's closed, what's along the way, whether a ferry or the tide is in the way, and how you get back.

How we check

Every fact has a source and a date. We check council closure pages every day and every stage's closures each week, ferry seasons at the start of each year, and everything else again at set times through the year. When we haven't checked something recently, the page says so.

We write everything in our own words. We draw our own maps from Natural England's route data, with the coastline from Ordnance Survey data published by the Office for National Statistics.

About our tide times

Tide times on this site are estimates for general planning, not for navigation or safety decisions. Always check official tide times and local signs before walking out on the beach.

Our sister sites

BeachNous covers the beaches on this coast: dogs, tides and parking. ParkNous covers the holiday parks. We share facts like car parks and toilets, so each one is checked in one place.
